Dedication
of Gail's Place
On
Friday, August 13th, 2004 the Recreation Commission dedicated the
recreation building at Memorial Park in honor of Gail Walsh. The building
is now know as "Gail's Place". Gail Walsh was a member of
the Board of Recreation for many years and liasion to many sports,
Summer Recreation being one of them.
The artwork on the building was done by Dumont High School student
Lauren Schell. Lauren worked through the summer to create the beautiful
eagle mural which is on the building. Tony Pierro made the sign Gail's
Place, which so proudly hangs on the front of the building. A plaque
noting the date of the dedication and our thank you to this wonderful
woman is on the side of the building.
