Dumont awarded $500,000 in extraordinary aid Funds to be applied to property tax relief 8/1/2006 - The Borough of Dumont was awarded
$500,000 in extraordinary aid on Friday, July 28th by the State
of New Jersey’s Department of Community Affairs. In a release
issued by the Department of Community Affairs, Extraordinary Aide
“Works with local governments throughout the state to ensure
their fiscal integrity and to support their efforts to comply with

Dumont Day Festivities Planned 7/15/2006 - This year's Dumont Day, scheduled
for Saturday, September 9th, will begin with a 5K run, continue
with festivities at Memorial Park, and conclude with a Fireworks

Dumont Summer Entertainment Events Posted The Dumont Summer Entertainment series has posted a full
schedule of all concerts and movies to be shown this summer. Concerts
will continue to be held at Memorial Park in Dumont and movies will
be presented behind Selzer School. Click here

Dumont Fall Run for Fun On Saturday, September 9th, the Dumont Recreation Commission
will run a 5K run and 1 Mile walk. All proceeds will benefit the
Ryan Caspare fund which aims to fight childhood cancer. (More

Dumont Observes Memorial Day On Monday, May 29th, Dumont residents commemorated the
sacrifices made by its veterans through a parade and ceremony. The
ceremony at Memorial Park featured speakers such as Father Robert
Laferrara of St. Mary's Church, Mayor Matthew McHale, County Executive
Dennis McNerney, and U.S. Congressman Scott Garrett. (Click

Summer Recreation Camp Schedule Posted 5/18/2006 - The Dumont Recreation Commission has recently
posted its schedule for the 2006 Summer Recreation Camp. This year's
camp, running from June 26th through August 4th, plans to keep most
of the exciting trips and activities it held last year while adding
even more events. Field trips include visiting the Ice House in
Hackensack and playing Miniature Golf in Closter. Click here

will be held on Mondays of this month (except on 5/29) from 6-8PM
on the 2nd floor of the Borough Hall.
Dumont Street Fair - October 1, 2005 The Dumont Chamber of Commerce sponsored
its annual Dumont Street Fair on October 1st, 2005. The great weather
combined with an abundance of activities made for a great celebration.
